Article Abstract:
Characteristics of the seafaring environment, a review on safety climate and culture research, organizational, professional and national cultures influence on safety cultures are described. A number of safety climate and safety culture instruments exist, so a research planned to launch an international study including milieus from several countries to agree on a general instrument measuring safety culture.
