Article Abstract:
Mjellem and Karlsen's Laksevag yard has completed the conversion of Torvald Klaveness group's 41,399 dwt geared bulk carrier Bauta into a self-unloader. The conversion company installed a belt unloading system from BMH Marine to the vessel in a $5.02 million contract. The system is a cost effective solution with a capacity that is greater than gravity discharge systems and high flexibility.
