The contribution of focus groups in the evaluation of hearing conservation program (HCP) effectiveness
Article Abstract:
A qualitative approach for evaluating the industrial hearing conservation programs (HCP) and their components, with the help of three industrial populations as case studies, is presented. A structured quantitative evaluation of HCP effectiveness, by using data on hearing threshold levels and other risk factors for hearing loss, is mentioned.

Creating safer workplaces: assessing the determinants and role of safety climate
Article Abstract:
The recent findings on safety climate and the growing interest in understanding management and organizational factors, with respect to workplace safety, are discussed. The study indicated that employee perceptions regarding the organizations commitment to safety are a key ingredient in shaping a positive safety climate.
