The development of risky driving in adolescence
Article Abstract:
This article examines the relationship between age, gender, and risky driving in adolescents in New Zealand. Results indicate that older students and males reported increased levels of dangerous driving and significantly riskier attitudes toward behaviors such as speeding, using seat-belts, and drinking while driving.

Seat-belt use and related behaviors among young adults
Article Abstract:
This study investigates factors involved in seat-belt use and nonuse in young adults in New Zealand. Results indicate that seat belt use is strongly associated with educational level, gender, and car seat location and that factors contributing to nonuse include forgetfulness, discomfort, and perceptions of low risk.
