Car hire firms begin to pick up business
Article Abstract:
Motoring holidays are becoming more popular in Thailand as economic growth leads to improved infrastructure and roads. Regular visitors often prefer to drive themselves, although self-drive is not recommended for first time visitors who may not understand the language and driving regulations. Visitors can travel between cities using one-way hire facilities which are offered by the three main rental firms, Hertz, Budget and Avis. Regulations mean that airports may have only one car concession on site, however other firms are allowed to run a collection service from the airport.
