New season launches
Article Abstract:
Attractions operators in the UK have launched a range of new rides and facilities for the 1999 season. One of the new experiences at Alton Towers is a Stone Age-based area called Ug Land. Blackpool Pleasure Beach is investing 15 million pounds in a major dark ride, and Lincolnshire's Magical World of Fantasy Island has invested the same sum in constructing Europe's largest looping ride. Drayton Manor Park has launched a major water ride which will involve a reverse drop. This ride, which depicts a sea rescue, will raise money for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution.

Risky business
Article Abstract:
It is vital that employers in the UK take action to ensure that their staff do not abuse access to e-mail and the Internet. Care should be taken to ensure that staff do not make defamatory remarks about colleagues via e-mails, and employers should also be aware that problems can arise if an employee downloads a computer program from the Internet. Employers may wish to consider restricting access to Usenet news groups and installing a fire wall to stop employees accessing certain sites.
