The new Valley Centertainment development in Sheffield, England, is based around the Virgin Megaplex, which has a cinema, supporting restaurants and 1,000 car parking spaces. Other facilities include First Leisure's Club Wow nightclub and a 26 lane Hollywood Bowl. The Virgin Megaplex has 20 screens, the largest of which offers 691 seats. It has a three storey high lobby featuring a disco unit, a coffee bar, an 82 cover restaurant and a children's party room. The interior of the nightclub is strongly themed, and includes two caged dancing pods.

A new world in Hemel

The new Leisure World complex in Hemel Hempstead, UK, was built as a partnership venture between the public and private sectors. It covers 180,000 sq ft, and offers a wide range of attractions. These include the Aqua Splash leisure pool, the Hotshots tenpin bowling unit, a Burger King Diner, the Silver Blades leisure ice rink and two nightclubs. Local authority and commercial leisure facilities are brought together in a single development.
