Denmark
Article Abstract:
Denmark has traditionally been regarded as a high-price tourist destination and the market is mature, although more visitors are expected from eastern Europe. Overnight stays in 1995 totalled around 27 million, less than in 1993. In order to attract new markets Denmark's tourist industry is emphasizing its cultural heritage and focusing on older, wealthy travellers. German visitors make up the majority of visitors to Denmark, accounting for 73% of the inbound tourism market.
