Article Abstract:
The Disability Discrimination Act, which comes into effect from Oct 1, 2004, says that any business providing service to the public will have to ensure all physical barriers are removed, to allow easy access to disabled persons. Many businesses have already made changes to their premises resulting in an increase in the number of visitors and with the number of disabled, unfortunately, on the rise it makes business sense to adhere to rules.
