Environmental concern and knowledge of ecotourism among three groups of Swedish tourists

Article Abstract:

An environmental psychological model was used to assess environmental concern and knowledge of ecotourism in three groups of Swedish ecotourists, nature tourists and city tourists. It was observed that ecotourists as a group knew more about ecotourism than the other groups, but generally in all three groups, knowledge about ecotourism and environmental concern was limited, and mainly associated with ecologically sound tourism.

The use of guidebooks by Japanese overseas tourists: A quantitative approach

Article Abstract:

The incidence of guidebook use by Japanese tourists is investigated, based on Vogt and Fesenmaier's model of information needs. It is observed that tourists use guidebooks for a range of purposes that include forward looking needs, learning needs, enjoyment needs, guidebook enthusiast needs, and functional needs.
