Baby boom
Article Abstract:
The UK leisure industry could experience a boom in 1997 as a result of factors including tax cuts and rising consumer confidence. However, certain political, economic and technological conditions mean that this boom will more limited than that enjoyed in the late 1980s. There will probably be only a limited rise in consumers' spending power in 1997, and consumer confidence will still be restricted by a strict tax and interest rate policy.
