French connections: boasting the highest rate of holidaymakers in Europe, France's Cote d'Opale offers attractive investment prospects

Article Abstract:

The Cote d'Opale is still one of France's most natural and unspoilt stretches of coastline. The area is the focus of major government initiatives to increase tourism and attract inward investment in preparation for the expected boom in tourist traffic from the channel tunnel. Priorities are waterfront regeneration and sensitive coastline development. There are also plans to create stronger links between the region's main ports of Calais, Boulougne and Dunkirk. There has already been infrastructure improvements and the Mission Cote d'Opale, a government body, will ensure that rapid expansion will be undertaken without spoiling the area's natural beauty.

No water shortage

Article Abstract:

Waterparks are increasingly being incorporated into leisure developments as part of the leisure experience, rather than being sited at an isolated location. Waterparks provide a higher rate of return than theme parks and are being used by resort operaters to prolong the stay of their guests. Asia and the Middle East have seen a boom in the number of waterpark developments, largely because of good weather conditions and the increase in the number of higher earning families. The most popular waterpark in America is the Schlitterbahn Park in Texas.
