California dreamin'
Article Abstract:
Creating a total leisure experience for visitors to the California area was the focus of industry executives who met to discuss how the past can help develop the future at the International Conference on Urban Entertainment in April 1999. Delegates were told how a fall in crime had helped increase investment in urban ares, providing ample opportunities for redevelopment by the leisure industry. Combining leisure with retail and food is the way forward for the industry which can use technology to its full advantage.
