Top of the class
Article Abstract:
There are now many different awards in the UK heritage and tourism industries. These tend to leave consumers confused, as they cannot be sure why a certain attraction has won a particular award. Indeed, some consumers are now rather cynical about awards. This is also a growing trend within the industry itself, with particular concern about the fact that awards rarely reflect directly the views of consumers. It is vital that attention is now given to the nature and character of award schemes.
