Last-minute bookings becoming the norm: Europe's holiday resorts have suffered a slump this summer

There is a trend towards late holiday bookings, with short term bookings now representing 10% of business. Booking trends in the UK depend on certain factors including consumer confidence, good deals and date of brochure launches, according to ABTA, the UK travel agents association. Late bookers are usually seeking bargains. Holidaymakers in Spain traditionally book late, but they are now booking even later, according to some agents.

Diaz brings businessman's approach to tourism trade
