Modern times
Article Abstract:
Modern Apprenticeships in Sport and Recreation were introduced to improve customer service, provide staff training and establish a career path for people working in the industry. The apprenticeships last for two years, they were established in the UK, during 1995. Managers and apprentices have found the scheme useful, with many new graduates moving into management jobs. The scheme aims to increase occupational skills, give an overall awareness of the whole industry and an understanding of business practices.
