Moving with the times
Article Abstract:
The UK Health Education Authority (HEA) has been looking into physical fitness and the availability of sporting activities for disabled people. The HEA acknowledges the need for those involved in providing sporting activities to share information on how to best adapt their resources for the disabled. The HEA have run a series of talks to educate professionals about the needs of the disabled, in conjunction with the International Day for Disabled People. Leisure operators should endeavour to make their buildings accessible for the disabled and encourage the disabled to participate.
