Sex tourism a worry as Cuba slump ends
Article Abstract:
Cuba's communist government aims to boost visitor arrivals to the country to 2 million by the year 2000, with hotel capacity being doubled to 50,000 rooms. However, this is coming at a time when living standards for many ordinary Cubans are falling rapidly, with professionally trained people finding it necessary to work in low grade jobs. There are also concerns that sex tourism is beginning to establish a strong presence.

Swiss cash in on tumbling prices
Article Abstract:
Lower air fares are allowing Swiss tour operators to extend their range of holidays in Australia. There is particular interest among customers in western Australia, and Australia is now being regarded as somewhere to go simply for a short holiday, rather than a long tour. Traditional long guided tours are now being replaced by self-drive tours which link short local tours and city accommodation.
