Squamish McDonald's quits union

McDonald's Corp's employees at an outlet in Squamish, British Columbia, have voted in Jul 1999 to quit the Canadian Auto Workers Union (CAW). The decision came less than a year after the Squamish outlet became the first McDonald's store in North America to be represented by a union. Dissatisfaction was cited as the reason for the decision to decertify from CAW Local 3000.

Dollar sales of Spanish wine in Canada have increased by up 75% in the past decade. The expansion of Canadian restaurateurs' expansion of Spanish wine selection is discussed.
