Beer is still the alcoholic beverage of choice in Canadian watering-holes, despite the increase in wines and spirits consumption. According to statistics from the Brewers Association of Canada, 1999 report, Canadians downed 69.34L of beer per capital. Additionally, the beer industry in Canada has increased to include 24 conventional breweries and 52 microbreweries.
