The customers of Canada love to eat variety of healthy seafood though the eating habits have changed and there is decrease in consumption because of the terrorist attacks on world trade center and SARS disease. An analysis is done about the seafood consumption of Canadians over the years. Responsibility of the chefs to provide safe food is also discussed.

Restaurants in the United States and Europe are being more environmentally aware when sourcing food, taking special attention to food miles and choosing local suppliers. Toronto pizza and pasta restaurant Il Fornello, for example, has launched an Ontario-only food menu. The economic and environmental features of the project are discussed.

The 2001 Pizza Report

Industry analysts said that pizza and related products are maintaining strong sales in Canada. A new report from Toronto, Ont.-based Canadian Restaurant and Foodservices Association shows that pizza represents 10% of meal choices for restaurant patrons.
