Battle of the kings: Southeast salmon put Iditarod champ to the test
Article Abstract:
The west coast of Prince of Wales Island is the commercial fishing ground of Southeast Alaska, and is a natural feeding ground for migrating salmon. The way in which even the three times winner of the Iditarod Sled Dog Race, Jeff King, had to struggle to capture the saltwater king salmon, a species of salmon, is described.

A mountain grizzly affects a hunter like no other game animal though the moose is bigger, the caribou more spectacular and the Dall sheep more coveted. It may take only seconds for a grizzly hunt to go terribly wrong. The adrenalin rush of feelings is complex and overwhelming, lasting for days.
