Big alliances promise nothing but trouble for consumers
Article Abstract:
The alliances by airlines to share codes will not do anything to reduce ticket prices, as the coding reduces competition. Limiting the options of consumers and not adequately informing them of the change in carriers is not a good practice. The alliances will also create more competition for frequent flyer awards.
