Dogs on ice
Article Abstract:
A personal account of a trip to the Godwin Glacier in the Chugach National Forest in Alaska to enjoy the summer dogsledding services offered by Godwin Glacier Dogsled Tours. The service was started by Lorraine Temple, a one-time professional musher and trainer of dog teams for the Iditarod, and operates under a special use permit, which means that every summer it transports all of its supplies in and at the end of the summer it transports everything back out again leaving nothing behind.
