Bump and grind for a plausible president
Article Abstract:
The 1992 Democratic convention was seen as successful, ending with the nomination of Bill Clinton and Al Gore. Clinton needs to win the votes of middle-class Democrats and the South if he is to win, while keeping the support of women, blacks and gays. He was helped by the sudden withdrawal of Ross Perot from the contest. TV coverage was reduced compared with other years.
