Driving: three for the road
Article Abstract:
A personal narrative is presented describing the experiences of driving in an ecologically-friendly sport utility vehicle across the San Juan Skyway in Colorado. Three sisters extend their annual trip to the Telluride Bluegrass Festival, to include a four-day drive across the 236-mile Skyway, through the San Juan National Forest, in the San Juan Mountains.

Techniques on how to get a good sleep while traveling are presented. These include the use of sleep masks and earplugs, looking for the most quiet spot in a hotel and finding hotels with blissful locations that induce uninterruptible sleep during the travelers' stay.

Travel in the Shenandoah Valley area of Virginia involves beautiful scenery and quiet hotels. Many towns along the Blue Ridge Mountains have well-preserved historic buildings. A route is planned and a dozen attractions are described.
