The Loire River Valley in the French countryside is perhaps the best area to experience France's rich history. As most of the centuries-old chateaus there were built in the days of horse travel, it was decided the ideal way to tour the valley would be on horseback and the experience is described.

Unspoiled Provence
Article Abstract:
An area of Provence that is seldom traveled to is the Camargue, a large delta that flows from the Mediterranean Sea. It covers over 300 square miles and is bordered on the north by the southern France city of Arles. It has a wide array of waterfowl and other wildlife.

Article Abstract:
The economy of the French Pyrenees is dominated by sheep grazing. There are still shepherds who earn most of their living tending their flocks. Although modern technology and comforts are available in the region, many of the locals follow a traditional way of life.
