A personal account of the Iditarod sled dog race in 2003, which, as a result of poor snowfall in Alaska, had to change its traditional route to one from Fairbanks to Nome. Martin Buser, four-times winner of the race and reigning champ, took the race with an average speed of 13.5 miles/hr.

The adventure of the author and his friend hunting a group of caribou is described. The experience of the author who crawled like an iguana up the hill, getting close to the caribou with his rifle and the pistons used by him for the purpose is described.

Saving the Aleutians one fox at a time
Article Abstract:
The need to nest the Aleutian goose freely in Aleutian Island by killing the foxes is described. The method of sterilizing the foxes instead of killing the foxes, which is proposed by Sea Wolf Alliance of Sausalito, California, is discussed.
