The .270 Winchester cartridge is a popular round due to its flat trajectory and light recoil. The cartridge is best suited for use with game weighing up to 400 pounds. However, it does suffer from a low ballistic coefficient at long range.

New powders useful for .38 Spl
Article Abstract:
Accurate Arms Co's Nitro 100, No. 2 and No. 5; and Scot Powder Co's Solo 1000 and Solo 1250 are the more common propellants used in reloading the .38 Spl. cartridge. Evaluations of the different powders are provided.

Loading the .40 S&W

The .40 S&W cartridge was tested for ballistic uniformity and accuracy when loaded with various kinds of gunpowder. The test showed which gunpowder was ideal for handloading the .40 cartridge.
