Mad cows and Englishmen: should you be wary of British beef?

Visitors to the UK are warned to steer clear of British beef. Mounting evidence indicates that 10 recent deaths in the UK from Cruetzfeld-Jakob disease are linked to mad cow disease, or bovine spongiform encephalopathy. Government efforts taken to alleviate the problem are discussed.

Snakebite cures can have fangs
Article Abstract:
Snake bites are typically not fatal, but victims should be made immobile to prevent the spread of venom. Tourniquets should not be applied unless the bites are known to be toxic. Antivenom should be given as soon as possible. Suction apparatuses are usually ineffective.
