My Tokyo

Tokyo, Japan was once called 'Edo' when it was the site of a feudal castle. Descendants are called Edokko. The city's name was changed in 1868 to Tokyo to reflect changes in Japanese culture during the Meiji Era. Tourists visiting the city today will find a fascinating mixture of cultures.
