Neuropsychologist Ron Federici began his work with Romanian institutionalized children in 1990 when he and his wife adopted two Ukrainian children. Since then, he started to bring Romanian orphans to the US to find caring adoptive parents for them.

Whirling out of the past

The whirling dance was forbidden in Turkey in 1925, but now exists in the country primarily as a tourist attraction. The most famous group performing the dance is the Mevlevi Order of Dervishes, also known as the Whirling Dervishes.
