Many visitors to US national parks complain of noise pollution, and the National Park Service is trying to deal with the issue. Many parks have restricted the number of snowmobiles and jet skis, or personal watercraft, allowed inside. Some parks also suffer noise pollution from roving helicopters.

Protecting our parks - from ourselves?
Article Abstract:
National parks are being overused and are at risk of being spoiled and abused. The National Park Service is considering establishing specific capacities for the parks, which would mean turning people away if the park is full.
