Infrastructure for advanced cities
Article Abstract:
It is felt that traditional industrial cities are in decline due to improved communications, worldwide markets and new technology. New cities require better infrastructure in terms of transport, telecommunications, social facilities and labour skills, research and better administration amongst other factors. Birmingham and Cambridge are cited as examples of the new industrial cities.
