In art, as in life, adapt to survive
Article Abstract:
Chinese opera and theater have lost much of their cultural relevance and ability to draw audiences, though such projects as the recent US-Chinese collaboration on Euripides' play 'Bacchae' hold out new promise. Rather than try to develop art, theater companies seek chiefly to support their many employees, and actors often are motivated more by fear than by creative passion. Learning to look beyond the acting methods they have learned brought some a new insight into their own culture, as well as educating the author.

The condensation of chromsomes that occurs during cell division had been thought to be driven by histrone proteins. Research done on early cell cycles of fertilized frog eggs revealed two proteins, XCAP-C and XCAP -E, which along with other proteins have many roles in influencing chromosome condensation.

Haynes became a heavy drug user as a member of the group Aliotta Haynes Jeremiah, which gained notoriety from their 1971 hit song 'Lake Shore Drive.' Haynes has since overcome his drug dependency and has produced a book about overcoming drug addiction.
