Black-tailed deer in Alaska are easier to hunt than deer in other states because they are not as wary from over-hunting and populations can number 40 to one square mile. Deer hunting safety and technique are discussed.

Alaska uses money raised from hunting permits called 'duck stamps' for wetland conservation. Currently revenues from the program are dropping, and it only raised $86,074 in 1990. More money is needed.
