The Johnson Model of 1941 Light Machine Gun served elite Marine Parachutists and the Army's Special Service Force with distinction during some of the grimmest fighting of World War II. Some of the models of Light Machine Gun like U.S. Model of 1941 Johnson, .30-'06 Sprg.; U.S. Model of 1941 Johnson Rifle, .30-'06 Sprg. and U.S. Model 1918 Browning Automatic Rifle, .30-'06 Sprg are highlighted.

The first 'Trapdoors'
Article Abstract:
The 45-70 government 'Trapdoor Springfield' rifles and carbines used by United States Army infantrymen and cavalrymen from 1873 through the Spanish-American war of 1898 are presented. 'First Trapdoors' provided valuable service to the troops and it represents an important part in the evolution of U.S. military small arms.
