Article Abstract:
A personal narrative is presented describing the decision whether to visit the island of Fiji following its May 2000 coup. By avoiding risky areas, and by taking relevant precautions such as avoiding rallies and demonstrations and not carrying expensive equipment, it is possible to visit the rural island.
