A woman recalls growing up near Chesapeake Bay and coming back to marvel at its beauty years after she and her family had to move to Washington. She claims that the Chesapeake Bay can be best appreciated from the Eastern Shore, where the crab, oyster and fish industries continue to thrive.

The Eastern Shore, which stretches through the whole Delmarva peninsula, has many good things lined up for tourists. Aside from the locally famous log-canoe races, the Eastern Shore is also popular for a number of its antique shops and bustling seafood markets.
