Article Abstract:
A personal account of taking part in the Matanuska Peak Challenge, a 14-mile running race in Alaska which challenges the runners to run a course on which there is 9,100 feet of elevation gain and loss. Brothers Braun and Lance Kopsack started the race 15 years ago because they believed that other races in Alaska either finished too quickly or did not involve enough climbing.
