A deep dynamo generating mercury's magnetic field
Article Abstract:
Mercury has a global magnetic field of internal origin, which is attributed to a dynamo operating in the fluid part of mercury's large iron core, but the low intensity of Mercury's magnetic field cannot be reconciled with an Earth-like dynamo. A numerical model of a dynamo driven by thermo-compositional convection associated with inner core solidification is presented that explains the observed structure and strength of Mercury's surface.

Resistance is futile
Article Abstract:
A new experiment is designed to describe a phenomenon, called the 'zero-resistance state' that is induced by the application of a magnetic field and microwave radiation. The results have supported the idea that the zero-resistance state emerges because the system desperate to avoid a state of negative resistance chooses to form a rather unusual, inhomogeneous current configuration.

A twist on periodicity at Saturn
Article Abstract:
The observations by the Cassini orbiter fixed with radio-emission clock provide evidence for Saturn's rotation period influenced by high speed of the solar wind.
