A drug is effective if better than a harmless control
Article Abstract:
The dismissal of the placebo arm in the HIVNET 012 and the high variability in reported historical HIV transmission rates is presented. The results reveal that single-dose nevirapine is significantly more effective in preventing HIV transmission than a very short course of zidovudine justifies the conclusion that the HIVNET 012 nevirapine regimen is more effective than nothing in preventing mother-to-infant HIV transmission.

LPA3-mediated lysophosphatidic acid signaling in embryo implantation and spacing
Article Abstract:
A newly discovered molecular influence on implantation through the lysophosphatidic acid (LPA) receptor LPA3 is presented. It further the data identifies LPA3 receptor mediated signaling have an influence on implantation and further indicates linkage between LPA signaling and prostaglandin biosynthesis is highlighted.
