A 'dry' condensation origin for circumstellar carbonates
Article Abstract:
The experiments that have demonstrated that carbonates can be formed with amorphous silicates during the non-equilibrium condensation of a silicate gas in an H2O-CO2-rich vapor are reported. It was noticed that the observed astrophysical carbonates have condensed in H2O(g)-CO2(g)-rich, high-temperature and high-density regions, such as evolved stellar winds, to those induced by grain sputtering upon shocks in protostellar outflows.

Aluminium control of argon solubility in silicate melts under pressure
Article Abstract:
Constraints on the solubility of argon in aluminosilicate melt compositions upto 25GPa and 3000K, using a laser-heated diamond-anvil cell are presented. A distinct drop in argon solubility observed over a narrow pressure range correlates with the expected void loss in the melt structure predicted by molecular dynamics simulations.

Breaking of Henry's law for noble gas and CO2 solubility in silicate melt under pressure
Article Abstract:
A hard sphere model for noble gas solubility is developed. The findings explain that argon solubility in silicate melts where argon concentration increases almost linearly with pressure, then levels off at pressures of 50-100kbar.
