A field evaluation of distance measurement error in auditory avian point count surveys
Article Abstract:
A survey is conducted to determine the error structure of distance estimates based on the auditory detections to simulate avian point with known distances in a forested habitat. Result suggests measures of uncertainty in distance estimates to auditory detections are higher than assumed by researchers

Estimating detection probability parameters for Plethodon Salamanders using the Robust Capture-recapture design
Article Abstract:
A need for more extensive, rigorous monitoring programs over global amphibian population, which has recently declined, is highlighted. Spatial variation and variation in detection probability are two effective methods used in monitoring programs.

Spatial and temporal variation in detection probability of Plethodon Salamanders using the Robust Capture-recapture design
Article Abstract:
The sudden decline of the amphibians worldwide has highlighted the need for long-term, large-scale monitoring programs. Pollock's robust design and capture-recapture models are used for detection of the amphibians.
