A forested future: promoting sustainable forest management in Bolivia
Article Abstract:
The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) will support the effort to show that using the forest in Bolivia wisely is good for the economy and the environment. The Conservancy will provide an additional $3 million for the project, which focuses on the Amazon tropical forest and the Chiquitano dry forest east of the Andes.

They include the 1954 purchase of the Mianus River Gorge, which represents the organization's first land deal, and the Palmyra Atoll purchase, consisting of 52 Pacific islets, in 2000.
