A general model for ontogenetic growth
Article Abstract:
Research describing a model for ontogenetic growth with applications on organisms justified by goodness of fit is presented. Particular attention is given to the model's ability to provide allometric relationships for processes of history events timing.

Plant energetics and population density
Article Abstract:
Research involving 37 plant species indicates that the use of resources by individual plants scales approximately as the 3/4 power of plant mass. However, it can be argued that the claim that the connection between plant size, allometry and mortality has a functional basis is misleading when applied to entire populations. Energy equivalence should not be seen as a fundamental law applicable to all plant species in all growing situations.

A general model for the structure and allometry of plant vascular systems
Article Abstract:
Many size-related variation can be characterized by allometric scaling laws Y = YoMb, where Y is the variable of interest. There is much anatomical and physiological data for plants, but no single model can explain the diverse phenomena. The transport of fluid from the trunk to the petioles via xylem vessels of angiosperms was modelled, successfully predicting a fractal-like architecture and many known scaling laws.
