A ghost with a bite
Article Abstract:
Palaeontologists examining the fossils of Odontogriphus, which existed 505 million years ago, have discovered that the creature resembled the snails. They suggest that the tooth apparatus found in he mouth of the Odontogriphus is similar to that of a snail, and that the creature would have used it in the same manner as the snail which is seen using it for scraping microbial films from the inside of an aquarium.

Body mass and encephalization in Pleistocene Homo
Article Abstract:
Paeleonotology research shows body mass of the genus Pleistocene Homo averaged around 10% larger than that of modern-day man's. Body-mass and brain-mass data indicates that man's brain size and body mass has reduced since 33,000 BC. However, modern humans living in higher-latitude locations are currently gaining in body size. Those in tropical locations near the equator are not exhibiting the same increase.

Earliest evidence for efficient oral processing in a terrestrial herbivore
Article Abstract:
Evidence for oral processing in fossils is poorly recorded, especially during the first stages of diversification in terrestrial vertebrates. A new study investigates oral processing in the terrestrial herbivore Suminia getmanovi.
