Dust in another solar system
Article Abstract:
Spatially resolved MIR spectra of the disk around the star beta Pictoris that reveal the presence of belts of rocky material, and eve the disk's composition is reported. An attempt is made to use astronomical observations usually at mid-infrared (MIR) wavelengths to determine the size, crystal structure and chemical make-up of dust grains in space, often around protostars.

The synthesis of organic and inorganic compounds in evolved stars
Article Abstract:
The synthesis of organic and inorganic compounds in evolved stars is studied. The studies indicate that the stellar grains in the Solar System are capable of surviving their journey through interstellar medium and contribute extensively towards the formation of the interstellar grains.
