A testing experience
Article Abstract:
An experiment is conducted to find out if grounding in different disciplines really make one better at solving problems. The experiment based on the nineteenth century concept 'Charrette', currently used to describe a short burst of intense problem-solving, in which scientists from different disciplines participated, established that a scientific collaboration would definitely help in finding out better ways to solve a problem.

Researchers break the rules in frustration at review boards
Article Abstract:
Instances of researches violating research rules whenever they feel wronged by institutional review boards (IRBs) are reported. Brian Shane, chairman of a local ethics committee, feels that inviting researchers to meetings to discuss potential problems and writing to them afterwards to clarify the discussion clears any feeling of mistreatment.
