Adult mourning dove survival during spring/summer in northcentral Missouri
Article Abstract:
A continuing decrease in the adult mourning dove population of the Eastern Central Management Unit states was analyzed by measuring the spring/summer survival during 1990-1991 of 315 radiomarked doves. Since there were no variations among areas, years or sexes, data were pooled to come up with a composite spring/summer survival estimate. The study's survival estimates show that spring/summer is an unlikely period for high mortality.

Landscape habitat suitability index software
Article Abstract:
Landscape habitat suitability index (HSI) software can be used for the evaluation of suitability of a habitat for 21 wildlife species. Landscale HSImodels are applied to forest-simulation model output, thus providing managers a tool to contrast the effects of forest management practices with current habitat quality for a variety of wildlife species.
